You're missing the point, voter turnout may be in the 50 to 60% range. 100% doesn't happen and anything more than 100% is not possible.

The GOP has made much hay out of the idea of voter fraud, but in truth, it's very rare. You can't tell them that, though.

The greater concern is those involved with widespread voter fraud like ACORN where the potential for tens of thousands of illegally registered voters exists. In fact the report is very disturbing as it's just the tip of the iceberg. The convictions of those like ACORN are not listed because those people have voted illegally, they have been convicted of conspiring to register who knows how many illegal voters
And that's more lame brained garbage from the right. Any duplicate/illegal ACORN registrations were rejected and didn't make it into the system anyway. But here's the good news:

My point was, it's common sense that someone should have minimal proof when being able to participate in choosing the leader of our country. If they can get a social security check, welfare check, or tax refund, they should have minimal proof of who they are. Oh, I forgot...that's why our govt. pays SS to dead people, there's welfare fraud, and illegals get tax refunds for kids they claim that aren't even in this country. I have to show an ID at the doctor's office, so what are all the liberals going to do under Obamacare when the doctors ask for ID to administer medical care?

ID helps prevent fraud, so I guess I'm just a stupid conservative to think anyone would have a problem with that.

Voters will be required to show an acceptable photo ID on Election Day. All photo IDs must contain an expiration date that is current, unless noted otherwise. Acceptable IDs include:

* Photo IDs issued by the U.S. Federal Government or the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (including the Department of State Voter ID Card)

* PA Driver’s License or Non-driver’s License photo ID (IDs are valid for voting purposes 12 months past expiration date)

* Valid U.S. passport

* U.S. military ID- active duty and retired military (a military or veteran’s ID must designate an expiration date or designate that the expiration date is indefinite). Military dependents’ ID must contain an expiration date

* Employee photo ID issued by Federal, PA, PA County or PA Municipal government

* Photo ID from an accredited PA public or private institution of higher learning, including colleges, universities, seminaries, community colleges and other two-year colleges

* Photo ID issued by a PA care facility, including long-term care facilities, assisted living residences or personal care homes

Since 9/11 I have had to show my ID more when buying stuff or submitting various applications.

These people that don't have IDs must do nothing except vote because it's pretty hard these days to live day to day without being asked for ID.

Firstly the person that brought this up was using it to support their argument that voter fraud is rare, it needs to be clear that the total cases are not representative of the extent because those cases include people involved with widespread fraud.

As far as ACORN goes it's just a fact that some ACORN workers have been convicted of voter fraud, the extent of it is unclear and there is absolutely nothing you can to do to show that all of those registered fraudulently never voted. This is why we need legialtion like this, the integrity of the voting system should be unquestioned and it's being questioned by a lot of people.

Hold all elections on all local, state and federal property and the government can demand photo ID.

And yet the Gov couldn't recall the voter id requirements:

Pennsylvanians unsure about the requirements of their state’s new voter ID bill have some notable company: their governor.
Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett (R) on Wednesday couldn’t remember when asked by a reporter what forms of identification would be accepted under the voter ID law he signed earlier this year.

And the Secretary of State didn't know what was in the law:

I don't know... if these senior government officials don't know what's in the law, I'd have to say that it's a pretty bad law and needs work before being implemented.
Apparently these two have been living under a rock.

No need to be so defensive, I only asked who issued them.

I have two kids, both grown, and their respective schools had issued their first ones.

Breathe.
