That is the only explanation for his and Biden's erratic and unstable behavior. Ryan has energized the GOP base, and is turning the tide in key states. The Romney/Ryan crowds are huge. Biden and Obama speak to mostly half full audiences that are either college kids or blacks. It also explains the Soptic Cancer crap and the tax smears.

It is always difficult to unseat a sitting president. If Obama can be re-elected with his awful record the USA is toast. I have confidence that Americans have had enough of Obama, his lies, his class warfare and his socialist ideas. The tide has turned. Donations have been favoring Romney/Ryan. Since the 2010 election the good guys have been winning and Obama knows it.

I sincerely believe that the democratic operatives have already realized that Obama has lost. Hillary refusing to be on the ticket says a lot. Like Carter before him, Obama will definately lose, as the economy is terrible. Likewise, the dems could have won in 2008 with a sock puppet (that is what they put up), as the economy was starting to slide and the nation blamed Bush (should have looked at the dem congress) and McCain by association. His loss was guaranteed, much like Obama's loss is guaranteed in 2012.

Obama is gone. Hillary was wise, as she will have a real chance in 2016 if Romney falters on the economy. To be Obama's VP would condemn her to defend his record in 2016.

Yep. Real scared. LOL. Ryan got maybe half the bump that occurred in previous campaigns and now republicans are stuck with his draconian and unpopular policies.

Biden has always put his foot in his mouth when allowed to talk longer than 5 minutes.

I don't doubt it, as the very liberal Mike Barnacle was discussing it this week, as he was rattled by Axelrod's demeanor and worried look.

Historically, incumbents need to hit 50 consistently in the polls.

Last minute undecideds break against them, when they do vote. If they dislike both, they stay home. But they dislike the incumbent, or by now, they would have decided.

In 1980, external polls showed Carter and Reagan tied the weekend before the SS Carter sank, but Carter's imternal polls showed the shellacking to come.

And the bump is gone: polls are now exactly where they were two weeks ago.

Excuses?

Where have you been?

There have been a few threads here devoted to Hillary refusing the VP position, as Biden has become a liability to Obama.

Let's see, Romney puts on ads that are demonstrably false, such as claims that Mr. Obama is a radical redistributionist who wants equality of outcomes; goes around the world apologizing for America; that there is "massive" overhead in federal program, etc. -- but Obama is the one acting "erratic and unstable?"

Romney has been acting unhinged.
