I get what you mean Trace, but Mr Obama has not lead anything. Which, of course, is a large part of the problem.

Don't read anything into this. 60% of Chicago and 38% of "surrounding areas" coupled with even a small percentage of downstate voters means Obama will win Illinois in a walk.

The leading was just in a direction, a wrong direction.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is a delusional fool. That's like expecting Romney to lose Texas.

Silent majority - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Basically the opposite of loud mouth liberals. Liberals are actually a small minority in this country, but because they scream the loudest they get the most attention.

The silent majority, was no longer silent in 2010.

Guess, just who they are!
Why was 2010 so historical, again?

Well, he did lose his home state to Ron Paul, when it was actual people participating & voting and not a computer program voting for them.

Supposedly, there is a big % of folks out there who voted for Obama last time . . . and are not letting on to their friends and neighbors that they are voting for Romney this time.

They feel like they will be ostracized by other DEMs or their own families b/c they think/assume that they are all voting for Obama. This is especially true for anyone who is considered a minority.

Now, I don't know if that is really happening or not. I do know a lot of Independents who are saying they voted for Obama last go round and won't be voting for him this time . . . but I also have heard people say they don't like Obama but they don't like Romney so they just aren't going to vote. To me, that is like giving a vote to Obama but you can't convince people to consider that when they have made their minds up.

Plus there are some moderate GOP who voted for Obama last go round but are very disgusted so even if they are not flipped out over Romney, they want to see the bad policy stopped - so they are voting for Romney.

If you are hip and young, a lot of folks don't really want their peers to know they are voting GOP. So they are just being very quiet.

On top of all that, there is some kind of underground movement going on - I have heard this from about a dozen folks thus far - that to throw the Obama team off - when anyone gets a call from a polling organization, always say you love Obama and are voting for him - so the polls will show him ahead.

Whether any of this will prove at the polls to have been accurate or true - who knows.

Sooooooooooo, basically the same people that voted Obama into office. Based off your "evidence" I guess it is easy to say the silent majority are the people who vote people in....okay.
