Earlier this year Pres. Obama attended a fundraiser at the home of Spike Lee. According to Lee, the WH approached him, not the other way around.

Spike Lee Hosts President Obama Fundraiser, Tweets Photos & Commentary

Spike Lee famously said "I give interracial couples a look. Daggers. They get uncomfortable when they see me on the street." So yeah, there is a party with strong ties, both present and past, to opposition of interracial marriage. That would be the DemocRAT party, ne c'est pas???

I don't care what color she was. Another attempt to get us to ignore the issues or his character.

No, Rush made a BFD about this on his show today.

Limbaugh seems to think it means, "See, Paul Ryan CAN'T be a racist. He had a lack GF, and now has a black sister-law. Therefore, the Dem charge that Ryan is a racist is FALSE"

Let's assume, for a minute, that this, if true means anything ( after all, Strom Thurmond fathered a child with his lack housekeeper, in the best tradition of the Old South). Only problem, who the heck ever said Ryan was a racist?

I would say Ryan, and his running mate, are classists, not racists. Their policy, of completing the looting of the national treasury, and shifting the last of the country's wealth to the top 1%, will have a racial effect, since it impacts the poor and middle class, where the vast majority of people of color are concentrated.

But, I don't believe Ryan, or Romney for that matter, are racists per se. They would lick the spittle of a wealthy black man just as fast as they would a white one

Why would it bring his conservative credentials into question? Conservative is conservative not racists.

Let me clue you in on a little secret. It is Rush's job to stir the pot. He is paid to be a hack.

On this thread what we have seen is liberal bigotry and idiocy:

1) It is okay for Obama to fund raise with Democrats like Spike Lee that are outspoken against interracial marriage, but Republicans should feel ashamed about some Democrat poll.

2) 46% of Republicans (per a Democrat poll) in probably the most pronounced racist state of Mississippi = a "majority" of republicans "nationwide"

3) The poll didn't ask Democrats...why not? You are fooling yourself if you think the number is 0 in Mississippi.

4) Gallup shows that Democrats are far more likely to discriminate on voting for many characteristics than Republicans, including being a Mormon -- that bigotry is okay though...hence all the "weird" Mormon comments from liberals on this message board.

5) It is okay for Democrats to call conservatives anti-gay slurs, simply because they disagree with them over finance policies. Who cares that doing so perpetuates being gay as something bad.

6) Democrats show a form of bigotry against Tea Party members by assuming the majority do not like interracial dating enough to abandon Paul Ryan for having dated someone in his past.

7) Trying to make Paul Ryan having once dated a woman from another race as a big issue - is soft bigotry.

It's interesting to me since a poll showed 50 percent of republicans are against interracial marriage. So they probably arnt too thrilled with Ryan even dating a black, let alone having one in the family.

Paul Ryan Had a Black Girlfriend; Does It Matter?
boy are you grabbing at straws now? Where did you see a poll that state 50% of Republicans are against interracial marriage? You probably didn't. We are not talking some poll taken in Mississippi, we are talking national poll and when was it taken..Of course this isn't going to hurt, if anything it will help but I don't think it will do either and I would hope no one would vote for a candidate based on this.
