Democrats hope to make inroads in the senior vote by raising concerns about Mitt Romney running mate Paul Ryan’s Medicare reform proposal, but most seniors are more fearful of President Obama’s health care law than they are of Ryan’s plan.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that when it comes to the future of Medicare, 47% of Likely U.S. Voters are scared more of the health care law than of Ryan’s proposal. Forty-one percent (41%) are more scared of what Ryan has proposed. Twelve percent (12%) are undecided.
But, but, but.......Liberals keep saying that seniors are afraid of Ryan's Plan?????
Seniors don't have to go to vouchers under Ryan's plan, remember? Nothing changes for them. I'd like to see a poll of people in their early 50s and see how that one turns out.

The Republican allergy to new revenue pretty much determines they'll squeeze that money out of seniors, and Romney advisers are admitting it.

That's rather cynical '' "it's a terrible plan but since it doesn't effect me, go for it!"
A new Gallup/USA Today poll contains a counterintuitive finding: the age group most receptive to House Budget Chair Paul Ryan‘s plan to deal with the budget – seniors.
The poll finds 48 percent of seniors (those 65 and over) support Ryan’s plan over President Obama‘s plan, while 42 percent back the president.
That’s the highest total among the age groups tested – a 47 percent plurality between the ages of 50 and 64 backed Ryan, and a 45 percent plurality of those between 30-49 backed Ryan.
Golly gee--why don't we try a poll that's not a year old, and produced when medicare wasn't even being publicly discussed. Oddly enough, recent polling says most people HATE the idea of vouchers. Ummmmm.......this poll was taken when Ryan schooled Obama on Medicare during Obama's summit. It definitely was in the news then.
When seniors were told of the two competing plans, they preferred Ryan's over Obama's...simple as that.
You asked for a poll and I gave you one....from a reliable polling agency to boot. Sorry you don't happen to like the results.
