I think we kind of lose credibility as brokers of peace in the middle east if we take sides before we go there...but who am I kidding, you can't argue with religion. Religion being one of those things Democrats can't agree on, apparently.

Hannity had it right when he surmised that the 2012 Democratic Convention is the point in history when Democrats are (loudly) on record denouncing God as part of the Democratic platform.
Considering that most American's identify with religion in some form, this is a blunder of monumental proportions. Even Barack Obama understands this.....afterall....he's the guy who implored the Convention to reinstate God and Jerusalem back into the language.

Obama-Romney have similar additudes toward gun control....they are both for it and have a record as such in actions and statements. I'm not nearly as confident as you that it doesn't stand a chance.
