No, it would be too little, too late. The last realistic time to jump on that bandwagon of momentum was at Paulfest in Tampa just before the RNC.

I believe Rep. Paul has already moved on and is working toward educating the public and the next generations about this nation's heritage of liberty and about sound money.

Now, if only he could get his crazy thinking on foreign policy straightened out, we might have something in him.

Default He should run

I think he should run. Less votes for Mitt. To hell with Romney and the hapless Republicans.

Yes, I'm certain the neo-Marxists need as many votes diverted from the RNC nominee as possible since Obama cannot run on a record of economic success.

I love what Paul has done for the Libertarian movement, and I think he has more value to add as a spokesperson/supporter of their candidate(s) rather than being the candidate himself.

I'm very much against having a viable third party in this country. It's not a good thing to have someone elected with less than 50% of the populate vote that's what would happen with a viable third party. If you think the partisanship is bad now it would be 10 times worse if someone gains the White House with only 37-38% of the people behind that person. But if we must have one, I'd rather see the neo-conservatives start their own party and let the Republican party get back to what it used to be in the days of Gerald Ford.

I'm going to open an ice cream store you will love...we will serve chocolate and vanilla... don't like either? Tough, shut up and eat one or get out. 310 million people live here and we think that two almost similar options are best suited to represent them all somehow?

I'll never understand how people are against having more options.

I think it's too late now. I think he should fully endorse Gary Johnson however and let the liberty movement coalesce behind him. Gary Johnson's already running, he's going to be on all 50 ballots (if not he'll get in the high 40s) so endorsing him and helping him get his name recognition up would really help. I know most liberty minded people are highly independent and so getting them to rally around one guy is like herding cats and I already see the freedom movement cracking a bit. People are picking out the smallest half faults with Gary and disavowing him. If Ron would endorse him I think it would help a bit and show unity.

I'm uncomfortable with Gary Johnson's somewhat vocal support for "humanitarian" wars but I agree with him on 99% of issues so I will vote for him. Right now Gary Johnson is the only vehicle for the liberty movement in this election cycle. If Mittens loses we can start the groundswell for Rand Paul in 2016.
