It seems pretty weird that Clinton invoked the blessings of God on the people in that hall and on America as a whole. However, that didn't do a lot more than what they voted into their platform today concerning guns and gun control. I wonder how many people can ever trust them in a debate about gun control. Trusting them is about as smart as trusting a rattlesnake when he says he won't bite you at the end of his strike.

Here is a part of what the Democrat platform says about gun control.

I love it, the opening says Romney supports the same laws but trys to discount it by saying the GOP did not make it part of their platform, you do know it is the candidate we are electing and not the Party. You might have wanted to find another source that did not result in you shooting yourself in the foot.
Speaking of Clinton, I loved this qoute:
"In Tampa, the Republican argument against the President's re-election was pretty simple: we left him a total mess, he hasn't cleaned it up fast enough, so fire him and put us back in."

If you really are inerested in everything he said:

Your thread title is incorrect. There is no such thing as the "Democrat Party"...........it is the Democratic Party. Why do you expect people to take your thread seriously when you insult the entire party by using the incorrect name?

Again, the correct name is Democratic Party. People who are members of that party are called Democrats.

I believe conservatives have the same unwillingness to sit down to a civil discussion. Witness what this article said...

Quote:
These people say one thing and do another, much like many of the RINOs who have infiltrated the Republican party. They do not want Americans to have rights and freedoms, but they long to replace God with more government. This cannot be allowed and should not be tolerated by the American populace.

"These people...", "RINO" infiltration, "... replace God with more government...", come on. Why should this writer be taken seriously when he makes these comments?

And...

Quote:
...the only thing that more gun control laws will do is tie the hands of law abiding citizens. It will do absolutely nothing to keep guns from getting guns in the hands of criminals. Should we expect anything less from a Democrat administration that allowed nearly 2,500 guns to just walk across the Mexican border into the hands of violent drug cartels, which resulted in the deaths of hundreds of Mexicans and at least two federal agents?

"...the only thing...", "... do absolutely nothing...", really? Are you "absolutely" sure?

This article is definitely not an invitation to the table to discuss this polarizing issue.

Please note Gov. Romney signed the "Assault Weapon Ban" when he was Gov. of Massachusetts.

Presiden Obama has not signed any restrictive gun control measures.

Thanks for the video but I took the time to watch the whole speech and except for the times I drifted off into dream land and had to be awakened by my sons pretty well heard it all.

Are you telling me that those things aren't in the Democrat platform? I think they surely are but since nobody outside the platform committee at Charlotte has read the whole thing maybe you need to do so.

Did I forget to post that pdf of the Republican platform that John Boehner admitted to not reading and I agree with him that very few have read the whole thing? I bet there are plenty of leaners who have gone through it with a fine toothed comb. Are you one of them?

Sounds like the only difference is it being in the platform. And didn't Romney say the platform was meaningless anyway?

If nobody outside the platform committee reads the platform then why are the cons so anal about it?
