I am curious as to how much is enough. People think it is ok for our First Lady to have spent $1million in tax payer money for her vacations but Mrs. Romney is criticized for never working and using a horse as therapy for her MS. obama has money invested in the Cyaman Islands and that is ok, but Romney shouldn't. I'm wondering why Romney is expected to pay more than are esteemed leader. But, I don't know if that will get a real answer.
You won't get an answer because the Romney bashers and rich haters don't have the vaguest idea how tax codes work and can barely read the EZ form.

They hate success and at the same time, are ridiculously envious of success.

They haven't a clue what they're whining about but jump on the bandwagon because the likes of MSNBC told them to.

would prefer that on the income tax after his charitable contributions were deducted to be at least the same percentage or more than mine considering that I was (still am) a small business owner supplying jobs in this economy.

Why should he be able (with an income multiple times mine) pay a less by about 1/2 than I do percentagewise....guess I'd be better off shutting down my business and investing the money with no jobs resulted so I could also get away with paying minimal taxes.

He does pay more. There is no way you pay even remotely close to 28%, which is probably your tax bracket. You need to look past tax RATES and look at effective tax BURDEN. If you're paying over 15%, you need a new tax person. You really should be able to get it under 10%.

We have a very progressive tax structure on earned income. The top 10% pays 71% of all taxes. I don't think more than that would be fair do you? BTW 47% pay 0%.

How much should seahawkgirl pay ? I suspect it was far less % than the average taxpayer.
