Low prices? Where were you? I think you have a touch of selective memory. I had to scale back my vacation plans in 2008 because gas was about $4.25 a gallon (over $5 in many places) before the weight of misguided Republican policies collapsed the economy that winter. And we were repaying the deficit under Bush? 700,000 thousand losing jobs each month is low unemployment? Negative GDP is high GDP? Oh, my...

BTW, the stock market has also doubled under Obama. Let's not go back to the policies that nearly destroyed our economy. I would rather pay a bit more for gas and have an economy that has been growing since Obama took over than cheap gas and a return to the near-depression that Republicans caused.

I took it out of the post as I just wanted to leave the undisputed facts.

Psst, don't remind them of that. Remember, to right-wingers, gas prices were none existant before 2009.

Sounds like you are confusing Bush with Clinton.
Bush didn't "pay down" the deficit - it exploded under him.
And gas prices reached the highest ever under Bush - just before the economy collapsed and dragged gas prices down as demand crumbled.

Talking Do you like high gas prices? Vote for Obama and Bernanke. If you DON'T like high gas prices, get a clue.

Obama's anti-fossil fuel policies are also raising gasoline prices. His EPA has made drilling more difficult and costly. He has delayed or stopped permitting. He stopped the Keystone Pipeline.

Gas prices have more than doubled since Obama has been president. They are headed much higher too. Bush's fault?

Gas prices have been high for a couple of decades.

Those who LIKE high gas prices should continue to use lots of gas and drive a full-size V8 SUV to carry themselves and an occasional bag of groceries.

Those who realize gas prices will remain high and only climb higher as global demand increases are more likely to minimize their driving and own more fuel efficient vehicles.

Politics plays a very small role in gas prices, today or yesterday. Those who want to pretend otherwise are free to hate Obama. You do anyway.

Not at all.....

Look at the AVERAGE price under 8 years of Bush and the 4 years of Obama.

Yes, when the Democratically caused mortgage lending crisis destroyed our economy, prices went up.

But here's the FUNNIEST part.....

You'll blame Bush for increased gas prices, but when they are higher under Obama, you'll claim he has no control over them.

But I though your president was going to fix all this. Everytime you blame bush you are telling me that Obama is really not god. For god would have fixed it. Obama is powerless and unable.

Then again, is exactly what Obama intended to do. In order to change the fundamentals of anything you have to first break it down. They do this in the military.
