The Fed's QE 1, 2, and now 3 is devaluing the dollar which just raises all commodity prices, especially oil and gasoline. Romney will not re-appoint the Bernank but Obama will.
Obama's anti-fossil fuel policies are also raising gasoline prices. His EPA has made drilling more difficult and costly. He has delayed or stopped permitting. He stopped the Keystone Pipeline. GasBuddy Blog - Up To Date Gas Price News and Information
Gas prices have more than doubled since Obama has been president. They are headed much higher too. Bush's fault?
Average retail gasoline prices have more than doubled under President Obama, according to government statistics, rising from $1.84 per gallon to $3.85 per gallon.
The average gasoline price is calculated by the Energy Information Agency, and shows that over the past 43 months of President Obama’s term retail gasoline prices have more than doubled, rising from an average of $1.84 per gallon to $3.85 per gallon.
Rising gasoline prices were particularly prevalent in August, which saw a 9.0 percent rise in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for gasoline, a rise that almost entirely accounts for the general increase in prices seen by families across the country over the past month.
In other words, the recent spike in prices for all goods – tracked by the government’s Consumer Price Index – can be almost entirely accounted for by the rise in gasoline prices. Prices in the economy rose by 0.6 percent overall in August.
I agree but you're about to be deluged with indignant posts that presidents, especially the Big O, have no effect over the price of oil...despite his obvious antipathy to the oil industry and his unleashing of the bureaucrats at the EPA on the petrochemical industry.
Yes. I give full credit to the Bush administration and the Republicans for being clever enough to lower gas prices at the end of his term by destroying the US and world economies. Why won't Obama do something like that?

How do you account for the low gas prices under Bush when the economy was setting records, we were paying down the deficit, the stock market set all time record highs, unemployment was low, GDP was high, and Federal Revenues were also setting records?
But, but, but.....Obama has an "all of the above" energy policy!!!
All of the above as long as it's NOT drilling for natural gas, drilling for oil, off-shore oil, or building a pipeline with no tax dollars in a shared project with one of our best next-door neighbors that would create thousands of jobs.
