On Monday, top advisers planned to explain how the campaign would change tact [sic - apparently someone needs to explain nautical metaphors to Fox writers] as the candidate himself began a major push to Hispanic voters.
The problem is, this is part of a pattern. It's not just the gaffes, the tax returns, the vacuous policies, and the chaotic campaign organization. It's Romney himself, making bad calls, pointing out objectives and insisting he can get there, even though everyone else knows he might as well try to conquer Everest in a pair of swimming fins.
There are many objections to Mitt Romney's candidature, but the most serious is also increasingly the most evident: the man simply has poor judgement.
It's all hype, especially when Hispanics have the lowest voter turnout of all electoral groups in the US and represent the smallest percentage of voters. Blacks have larger voter turnout than Hispanics, and more Hispanics vote Republican anyway than blacks do.

Poor judgement? What on earth are you talking about: in what way does he have poor judgement? If he has poor judgement, I would love to have it as well.....
As for support of the Hispanic vote: what would you expect him to say or do? Forget them, come out and say, OK guys, I can't get your support so I am through with you? Of course he will continue to push for their support or certainly try and win a few more over...No one, should ever give up, did you know that?

Well, I can answer your first question. He has poor judgement because he's a Republican. Plain and simple.
Second one, he's a Republican so he might as well give up the non-white vote on the spot. That's liberal reasoning for you
Governor Romney has a very clever tactical plan in his campaign.
In the next few months, you are going to see a mind-numbing number of mudslinging anti-Obama ads in swing states.
All the Governor needs to do to win is turn this campaign in to a mudslinging campaign. Older people tend to vote Republican and have higher voter turnout regardless of tactics. Younger people tend to vote Democrat and are very largely affected by negative campaigning. The President's initial campaign swept to victory on feel-goodism. In such a balkanized country, all the Governor needs to do is reduce voter turnout by a few points to attain victory.
Clever. The only way to describe it is dastardly. Interesting to find out if the American left care enough about the issues that this will work.

Romney is a Corporate Man who has lived his life in accordance with his values, exerting his ego over and into situations with no real faith over that that he holds for himself. He is like all other Corporate Men. His will is his guide.
That is exactly WHY I support the Party that does NOT support Romney and others like him. He has never stood for the American PEOPLE, of ANY race or culture, including Hispanics.
In Fairfax, Romney also allowed a heckler to rattle him. He told the crowd that he wanted to have a moment of silence for Stevens and the three other slain Americans, "but one gentleman doesn't want to be silent so we're going to keep on going"...Romney consistently fails to capitalize on moments like this that require improvisation
Whether in small tactical problems like this one, or larger policy and representation issues, the man's inner compass is faulty. Poor judgement.
Romney's probably going to get at least 30% of the Hispanic vote even if he loses the election. He's not going to win the Hispanic vote and he knows it. It's about the margins. If he wins 35% or 40% of the Hispanic vote, he will have a better chance of winning the election than if he wins 30%. This is not a bad call or bad judgment. Are you all suggesting that Obama is going to get 100% of the Hispanic vote or something?
The only way that Romney will get more of the Hispanic vote it to pander to their ethnocentricism which means promising amnesty for their illegal amigos. It is a sellout to this country and its citizens as a whole. Is that the kind of president we need or want? Apparently some do and that is why Obama is in office. What happened to putting this country and its citizens first?
