Except the fact that married people lean Republican by almost 2 to 1.

Perhaps, but the assertion I was commenting on was that "people on the left seem to view the institution of marriage as disposable" - which has absolutely nothing to do with a particular demographic's voting preferences.

In what world does 54% translate into "all married people?" That's a tiny bit over half. It actually kind of surprises me that Romney doesn't have a larger chunk of married voters, because his supporters tend to be overwhelmingly old and white--a group that tends to have higher rates of marriage. Trying to make the case that the REASON that people support Romney is because they're married (vs. being old and white) is like trying to make the case that dogs and whales and mice are all mammals, therefore they must all bark, eat cheese, and live in the ocean.

Romney has been in the news lately and then you get Romney's camp has to clarify what he really meant so people talk.

Sounds about right. People on the left seem to view the institution of marriage as disposable.

Married Voters Strongly Back Romney
One of the most ignorant and hypocritcal posts I've seen on here and that says a lot.

Married People: Romney 54%, Obama 39%

Either you failed Junior Hish School mathematics, or you really have no idea what the word 'almost' means...

In other words, the left has a lot in common with half the people that were vying for the Republican nominatin in the first place.
