That is the typical nonsensical, emotional, childish reponse that we have come to appreciate from liberals. As the message of liberalism cannot hold up to factual scrutiny, one is left with such retorts. It is amusing and predictable.

I will vote for Romney partially because he has shown leadership and has run things before. And then partially because the following type of thinking will not turn this country around:

How do know that?

Romney doesn't KNOW who is included in that 47%. All he knows is that 47% of the filers pay no federal tax. Until these returns are examined, we can't say all 47% are leeches. That's what's so scary and sad. He doesn't know who the electorate is. Actually, he doesn't know a lot of things.

Also....

Those returns include:

  1. Retirees who don't have taxable income after deductions.
  2. Servicemen whose combat pay is not taxable - plus many of those families also get food stamps, btw.
  3. Working families who earn so little that after deductions, enacted by Republicans btw, they have no federal tax liability and may even get a tax credit (of which, btw, Corporations and Big Business are the biggest beneficiaries).

Among others.

47% of the filers who pay no "income taxes" are not leeches.

That ignorance is what scares people.

You aren't leeching off the system, you are experiencing a well-earned retirement. Two totally different things. Why would you assume he is talking about you?
Show me that 47% of our 300,000,000 + people are who you seem to think he's talking about.

I dare you.

Heck...just show me that 47% of REGISTERED VOTERS are you think he's talking about.

I agree with some of the things on your list. Others I agree on but feel now is not the time to act. Others I do not agree with.

Anyway

You say you want Obama care repealed......Why?

You want a national right to work act.......Why?

What would you want in a renegotiated trade deals with China and NAFTA?

All I know is . . . I am too busy clinging to my Bible and my guns to worry about who exactly is in that 47%. I have a feeling the gals I ran into this morning with their chilruns, food stamps, WIC vouchers - the ones living in HUD housing - might be part of them, tho.

What has me worried at this moment is . . . I can't find my gun and I suspect Eric Holder took it.

No wonder I was clinging to it.

Actually, you don't get a choice. Nobody gets a choice. Not even Mitt. If missionaries did have a choice, though, I can tell you for sure that they wouldn't choose France. Mormon missionaries go on missions hoping to get converts to their Church. France is one of the least receptive countries a missionary could possibly get sent to. Almost any Mormon missionary would rather spend two years baptizing converts in Chili, even if the living conditions weren't all that great, to getting doors slammed in his face for two years in France. But, as I said before, it's truly a moot point.

I do think the amount of charity he has contributed over the years and the number of people he has counseled has earned him something of a break though. Just last year alone, he contributed $3 million to charity.
Of course it should, but most people don't believe that any of the money he donated to his Church should even count as charity.

I will vote for Governor Romney because Mr Obama lied about no tax increase for the middle class. The CBO just recalulated the mandate tax, err penalty. It is now expected to impact 6 million Americans, most middle Class, and more than double the estimate when it was being rammed through Congress.

He and his party lied. An inconvenient truth, is it not?

Over the decades, I paid in literally tens of thousands of dollars in federal, state, county and local taxes. I claimed every legal deduction, but never cheated on my taxes. I paid my fair and legal share.

Now, though, because I'm a disabled Veteran and drawing the Social Security I paid into, I pay no taxes at all except for sales tax. Suddenly, instead of a productive and valued member of society, I'm a leech, a burden, a drag on others, a government-dependent entitlement *****, a welfare king who's soaking up resources someone else could use, a member of that 47% Mitt Romney doesn't care about.

And, you agree with that assessment of me?

Yeah, maybe. But he sure has to apologize for dodging our war....doesn't he?
I don't agree with that assessment of you. You worked until you were no longer able to. I have a problem with entitlement programs paying for healthcare, food, housing, and education for illegal immigrants. I also have a problem with entitlement programs providing healtchare, food, housing, and education for Americans who could work but instead choose to let other taxpayers support them.

Someone who is truly disabled? Someone who really can't work or can't find any work at all and needs help until they can get on their feet? Someone who is elderly? By all means, let's help them.

It's the government waste that we have a problem with, not those who legitimately need help. There are generations of people who know nothing other than living on the government dole. That needs to change.
