We serious people call this thread a "distraction."
Well then you need to send a memo to Mittens and tell him to chill with the gaffes but doubtful that'll help someone stricken with the foot-in-mouth disease.
Canadair jets (yes, she was on a union-made foreign built aircraft) do have emergency windows over the wings. What a bother that the airplane couldn't land at one of her homes instead of a "we built that" government airport with unionized firefighters.
I'm not a Romney supporter, but this isn't a big deal. He seemed like he was just talking and trying to say something about the situation and it came out weird.

It always comes out weird. He's awkward around regular people. "I love this state, the trees are the right height.", "I like those fancy raincoats you bought. Really sprung for the big bucks."

Yeah and that's his problem. He's very scripted, but when he goes off script it gets awkward.
It won't change my vote either. Yeah it was an unthinking statement. But my point was, that THIS Obama supporter wishes we would all back down on attacking every little statement they make. These guys are human after all. (I do hold the 47% comment against him- because to me, that reflected his attitude- not just a momentary lapse in thinking.)
Just my 2cents.
Yeah it was an unthinking statement and yes, twisting his words would be wrong, if he didn't twist himself around so much to come back to the point we might be making.
He and the President should know what they are getting into when deciding to run for elected office. And I do agree with most of your sentiment, but I don't agree with the false equivalency that we are anywhere near the vileness of a Limbaugh.
But every time I think, this can't get worse - I'm proven wrong and he (Romney) or his team just can't rest on their laurels and they rev up the gaffe machine once again.
What Mittens was intending to say, whatever it was, came across as utterly stupid, plain and simple.
No, people who don't understand Aviation come across stupid...look at your post

Lefties are trying to prove a point that is not provable, it a leftist talking point that came out on a memo and people like you, without research, will post and look...well ignorant...very good job!
