They have a pretty thin bench.

Maybe Cory Booker? He seems like a moderate on fiscal issues and has done a pretty good job as mayor.

The crop of Congressional Democrats is pretty horrible. None of them are really anything more than extremist left wing hacks, so I wouldn't look there.

As for governors, it's pretty clear that Martin O'Malley thinks he should be President. Hickenlooper of Colorado also might be an option because he isn't an extremist moobat like most Democrats--he even supports gun owners' rights.

The problem most Democrat elected officials have is they preside over huge fiscal messes with unsustainable entitlement programs designed to pay off Democrat-voting constituencies. Like Jerry Brown in California, Rahm Emanuel in Chicago, and countless other Democrats.

Their best hope is Andrew Cuomo, but I doubt Cuomo could ever win a primary in the extremist Democrat Party now that he's taken down the teachers' union in New York.

Wow, the GOP is going to nominate Romney again in 2016? I figure it will be Chris Christie's turn by then, though hopefully they won't try to turn him into Pat Robertson.

Plenty of options for the Democrats in 2016...it will more be a question of who will want the job.

So somehow it's a foregone conclusion that Mittens is winning the 2012 election?

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Yeah, okay.

He *might*....*MIGHT* win the election.

A better title for this thread would be, "If Romney wins the Presidency this election, who will the Democrats elect to run against him in 2016?"

Intelligent, logical, and doesn't make you appear to be a totally, out-of-touch dimwit.

Everyone wins!

He didn't say Mitt was going to win; he said the Republicans will run him out there again in 2016. Which I found very odd, considering his dreadful campaign and unpopularity.

Good Lord, the GOP will never run him again, even if he DOES win.....

Who Are the Democrats Going to Run Against President Romney in 2016?

If Mitt is President in 2016 its a forgone conclusion that he won in 2012.

The topic is moot as Romney aint gonna win in 2012. A more plausible question would be who are the contenders going to be in 2016?
