Upon reflection, I think Obama had a strategy last night.
I think he truly thought Romney was going to do his work for him; Obama was biding his time, waiting for Romney to put his foot in his mouth.
Then, after Obama discovered that Romney meant business and really came to play ball, Obama was so taken aback that he got his socks knocked clean off. Romney wasn't going to do his work for him. Romney wasn't going to put his foot in his mouth. In fact, Romney's was on the offensive. By then, it was all over.
Very poor strategy on Obama's part.
Excellent maneuvering by Romney.
The next couple of debates should be very interesting theater.

Obama has been lying since he first started to run the first time. Where was the interested media then?

I read the article and it is just more of the same, opinion, with no real facts.

I don't think Obama is going to let that continue moving forward to the next 2 debates, I think we'll see Mitt thoroughly beaten.

Either way, that the Mitt won the debate on lies makes this opening debate rather useless.
Next debate is foreign policy, no? Obama should wipe the floor with Mitt the Twit on that subject. They were careful (too much so) not to have Obama appear mean and aggressive in this debate. But since Romney went after him like a rabid dog, Obama now has the public's permission and even encouragement to strike back. Foreign affairs are not as exciting to most, but Obama has every advantage - and the whole world will be cheering for him. Go get him, O!

Michael Dukakis hands-down won his first presidential debate. Anyone remember if he won the election, or not? Hint: One debate doesn't not win an election. Last night put Romney on life support for the time being but it ain't over until it's over.

Obama seemed to be lacking a fire in his belly in the first debate, not like him and i wonder what the game plan was,two to go. but as all Romneys supporters will back Romney no matter how he does in the elections the same is true for Obama supporters..

Personally I think Romney deserves an emmy or an Academy Award for his "performance" at the debate last night!...He presented himself as "oh so caring!" Yet this is the same guy who trashed 47% of Americans awhile back ago at his fundraiser...He was bouncing all over the place last night. He seems delusional!...Maybe Obama wanted to appear older and wiser last night and more serious (and realistic) about the problems we're facing as a nation. Who knows?...Romney definitely "stold the show" last night. No doubt about it! But he might wind-up facing a big "October surprise" down the road too. Who knows?

I am glad. I love Obama's strategy and Mitt is so gullible and can't even see it

I've heard every excuse under the sun today.

It's pathetic.

Hard to create new jobs, when you're at almost full employment to begin with. Do you libs even TRY?
