As an obvious Obama supporter, I am going to be honest.
Obama looked very distant, tired, upset, irritable and even physically weak or ill.
This was NOT his best performance. I almost could not watch it entirely through. I was just in shock.
I felt like if someone told me today on short notice that I would be substituting for Obama in this debate, that even *I* would do better. I felt like my hamster could have been standing up on stage and he would have got more support than Obama for being cute and fluffy and munching on carrots.
What the **** was that ****? I wonder if it is because of his wedding anniversary but I doubt it. He just seemed like he got into a bad fight with Michelle or maybe someone from his campaign.
I will still be voting for him. No doubt about it. Once again, these debates are for Independents but I was beyond bewildered. Just sad. Very sad.
Kudos to Romney. He did great tonight. I was not ready for this.
No they don't. If you're going to make ridiculous claims you need to provide some evidence.
There are plenty of teachers on Long island that make more than that. Some school administrators make 300k a year. Pensions too. His claim is accurate and far from ridiculous!
The middle class will win when Romney gets in office!!! A man that will do something other than spew rhetoric and blame everyone else for his faults. Get it?
Not the way I see it... Romney went for the offense and Obama did not.. I am sure there was areas on for no offense from Obama.. no mention of 47%, no mention of bain ..no nothing.. I am not sure Obama's no offense was a good strategy.....
Not sure what you are seeing in that you just agreed with my statement?
When Romney was talking about cooperating with both parties Obama started talking about fighting with the republicans. I thought it was a stark contrast. We need a leader who can work with the opposition to try to get this hatred between us under control.
Well, maybe if you believe the lies that Obama kept spouting, misrepresenting Romney's true stance. But I think most people watching the debate were able to see that Obama kept trying to put words in Romney's mouth and Romney came right back and called him on it.
Romney doesn't have any detailed plans... here is what he said
"I won't raise taxes" (no details)
"I will lower the deficit" (jobs will somehow show up)
"I will keep military the same" (while lowering the deficit yeah...no details)
"I will repeal obamacare" (keeping people insured somehow?...no details)
He was detailed about how he will drill, and mine coal and install a pipeline though..
Romney had an interesting approach. When confronted with a position like his 5 trillion tax cut (sorry that is what a 20% reduction yields), he just denied it. "Who me? I'm not for that.". How does Obama counter something like that?
On the post debate analysis, I always enjoy watching the focus groups the most. The best observations from the debate always come from those. Although, I must say, I have not seen such a lopsided result in quite some time.
