Romney Day 1: wakes up with a raging hang over from all of the Shirley Temples he drank the night before as he watched poll after poll close announcing yet another beating. Reads the papers to find his loser party blaming him for running a bad campaign. (He didn't. He was just carrying an impossible ball. You know how the Republicans are though... they refuse to take personal responsibility for anything. They'll blame him, blame the liberal media, blame the voters, anyone but themselves.) He'll massage his temples and think about what to do with the rest of his life. Then it will hit him... he's rich. He has a nice family. He no longer has to be burdened with running for president. He'll go back to bed and instruct his butler to not wake him for at least another four hours.

Interesting stuff. Romney intends to cap annual increases to spending at 0, meaning that with inflation all regulatory agencies will be taking a hit.

He intends to decentralize power.

He intends to denounce China as a currency manipulator.

Interesting energy policy, although I'm not sure what specifics he has in store. If he does all that on his first day, he will be a very busy person.

Fascinating. Five executive orders on Day One, from someone whose most rabid supporters have been accusing Obama of ruling like a "dictator" because of his excessive reliance on... executive orders.

The difference would be, when congress tells obama no...then he writes an executive order, to go around congress....

And if Romney does it on day 1, how is he going around congress?

Wow. A "fundamental restructuring of the federal government."

What's he gonna do on Day Two? Part the Potomac?

He wants to "fundamentally restructure the federal government?" What's wrong with the system of government we have? Is he some sort of fascist? Does he want to restructure it to resemble the system of government enjoyed by the polygamist Mexican cult his ancestors had? (If only I were a Republican, I could engage in this kind of nonsensical thinking all day long.)

The size of government has more than doubled in the last 10 years, good these agencies need to take a hit
