Of course it does. There is a difference between spending, and income. Wouldnt you agree cutting military helps? Why would Big Bird be any different?
Because it makes no sense, well actually it does if NPR is your target in the first place. btw, he will increase contract military spending to help his war machine buddies out. Many people get confused when he says that he will increase military spending which has nothing to do with the troops, who actually will be replaced by contractors.
Nothing like taking a comment out of it's intended context to make your point. What Romney is saying is that there are no sacred cows that should escape spending cuts. In case you hadn't noticed, we have a 16 Trillion national debt that is projected to exceed 20 Trillion by the year 2016. Our deficits continue to explode and yet our government keeps expanding. Sooner or later, the ax will fall on spending out of necessity. Isn't it a better solution to start reducing spending now, BEFORE the bottom falls out? But go ahead and take the intention of someones comments and turn them into something that they aren't. I'm sure you have a brilliant career awaiting as a spin specialist somewhere.

Quit putting words in Mitt's mouth. He meant exactly what he said about the 47% and he meant exactly what he said about getting rid of Bird Bird. The Republican party been gunning for PBS for a very long time and it has nothing what so ever to do with saving money. PBS's yearly funding from the federal government is the same figure as what our military spends in 6 hours. If he had wanted to make a point about no sacred cows, as you claim he was doing, then he should have started on the sacred cow and not on the fly that buzzes around the cow.

That is correct but it not PBS it is NPR, carl rove has had a hard on for that program when it started exposing the republican lies. Truthfully it is all bs, because if they really wanted revenue they would legalize hemp, which would create thousands of jobs and taxes
seriously why cut public tv which amounts to squat in the scheme of things. ...
By itself no it isn't much but when combined with the other six gazillion needless things we spend money on that "aren't that much" it adds up to hundreds of billions of dollars.

Why not stop the tax breaks to the wealthy and you would not have to do neither?
So you would support cutting out the tax breaks corporations and the wealthy get for supporting PBS?
