There was no other "BS" The GOP doesn't give a damn in the slightest about america or the american people, only about keeping the rich and their corporate cronies happy, and shipping jobs to China does just that.
They will block any bill, such as in this case, that would undermine their corporate masters not getting every dime they possibly can.
As long as the public corps have fat bottom lines they could care less. This isn't a D or R thing. Under Clinton we had NAFTA, China permanent favored nation, Commodity Modernization Act and the start of the -33% manufacturing offshoring to help create that giant real estate derivative bubble as the govt owned corporations made a killing offshoring those jobs.
The govt still owns those controlling shares of most if not all publicly traded corps and will continue to offshore until the profits are harmed or the American people wake up.
