"Oboy?" Why don't you say what you really mean?

That's just plain funny.

Put another way: pppppppfffffffffftttttttttttttt.
A "goofy link"?

You consider BET (Black Entertainment Television) a goofy link?

Obamas Celebrate 19th Anniversary | News | BET

How about this one from USA Today, which I also posted previously:

Obamas celebrate 19th wedding anniversary

Or how about POLITICO:

Or how about Irish Central:

Your post indicates a lot more about YOU than it does about anything else! I'll let you figure that one out yourself!

It is interesting, that older stories and official sites give the date as the 18th and newer ones, the 3rd.

Why don't you share the links to these "older stories" and "official" sites so we can all see them?

It might be good for a laugh!

I don't know or care when the Obamas got married, but that doesn't make sense. Why would he waste our time saying "happy anniversary" for an engagement anniversary? Also, do you really think they planned a church wedding in 15 days? He said "20 years ago today."

Here is another one - claims to be from his book...

Dreams from My Father

Epilogue,
pages 439 - 442
In February 1990, Obama was elected the first African–American president of the Harvard Law Review. He graduated from Harvard Law School, magna *** laude, in 1991.

On October 18, 1992, Obama married Michelle Robinson.

In 1992, Obama began to teach constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School; in 1993, he joined the civil rights law firm of Miner, Barnhill & Galland.

The first edition of Dreams from My Father was published in 1994.

Well that is certainly a neutral website. The google books won't let me see the epilogue. Who has a hard copy of the book?

The first was a fundraising website for Obama back in 2008, and who knows where the person (Helene Kinsey) got the date? She was probably just given wrong information when she created the event on that website.

The US Magazine website is from 2009 (based on the link). My guess is someone accidentally wrote down the wrong date during the Obama 2008 campaign, and nobody caught it. Then that was the date that was passed along to other websites.

Anniversary dates are very personal. If Barack and Michelle never looked at any of these websites themselves, then who else on the planet would notice it being wrong? Who other than the married couple themselves actually remember their own wedding anniversary date, especially with it being 16 years since the wedding?

Obviously it was an unintentional goof made by someone during the 2008 election, which got spread to other websites by mistake. As I mentioned previously, websites tend to copy facts from other websites. There was no reason for anyone to verify it at the time, since the actual date is not of any meaningful significance, other than to Barack and Michelle themselves.

This article from 2009 states they were celebrating their 17th anniversary on October 3rd 2009.

For what it's worth, my husband can never remember the date of our anniversary - and sometimes gets the year wrong too :-0

I think that's a guy thing :-)
Bull... I remember that times and weights of my children the day they were born.

The man (Obama) just can't keep his lies all straight.
