Polls as late as October 10th show Obama up 57-42%.
Waste of money to go after MA.

Romney has to have almost all the swing states and his money is going to VA, FL, OH, etc.

Which is exactly why they elected Romney Governor.

Romney is not a real native to Massachusetts. He is just another guy who came to MA to go to school at Harvard, and fell in love with the area as many do. MA really is a beautiful, with a very enlightened population. He adopted MA as his "new" home state. When he was running for office he did the same thing he's doing now; he said whatever he thought the people wanted to hear to get elected. He doesn't really stand for anything, except protecting the rich.

One out of five isn't too bad.
You forgot Bermuda.

JFK won Massachusetts.

LBJ won Texas.

Nixon won California.

Ford won Michigan.

Carter won Georgia (twice).

Reagan won California (twice).

George H.W. Bush won Texas (twice).

Clinton won Arkansas (twice)

George W. Bush won Texas (twice).

Obama won Illinois.

So why can't Romney seal the deal in Massachusetts?
He has already burnt that bridge.

And several other Republican Governors who served several terms. And Scott Brown to the Senate. Romney won't win MA because he was a terrible Governor and no one wants him to do to our country what he did to our state.

Exactly. I honestly don't consider Mitt "from" MA. He went to school here and used our state for his national ambitions. Nothing more. Said what he thought people wanted to hear....that he was a moderate (R) just like our previous beloved Govs....like Celluci. Then he flipped to a more conservative Gov to further HIMSELF....he wasn't doing what the people of the state wanted. His views were opposite of the views of most folks from MA.

I'm not really sure where Mitt is actually from.....I guess whatever place suits his needs at the time.

^^ Exactly. Thanks to the stupid electoral college, the presidential candidates only care about winning states with the most electoral votes.

We need to abolish the electoral college system! Every vote should carry the same weight.

Otherwise, I'm voting for Romney in November. And I know many people who feel the same way in MA. Only the undereducated are passionate about Obama because they are still waiting for Obama to give them free money and stuff. They are trusting that by giving him another four years, he will finally deliver. What a bunch of idiots.

MA is a reliable blue state, but the one thing that should be noticed is rcp has Romney at 38%, and McCain got 36%. To get just 2% more from an ex gov is telling.

Romney's job as the head of the olympics was a job well done. His job as Ma gov was mediocre at best. I was in Ct than, and that was one of the few periods of the last 20 years where Ct outperformed ma in economic growth. 45 other states also did better than Ma. While the 4.7 percent unemployment rate in Ma may appear good now, the national average during his tenure was lower. He left Ma with a 30% approval rating.

Of the gang who were in the GOP primary, I still think MR was the best, but the resumes of both contenders for POTUS outside of the Olympics job, is at best, spotty, and not up to the standards of past races.

As this race goes on, I am more regretful that Christie chose not to run, nor Jeb Bush. No matter who wins, I fear the nation will be longing for 2016 very quickly.
