If Mitt loses his ambitions of being president are over. After losing, he'll never win the nomination again and Romney has too many weaknesses that has hurt him. Republicans won't care because they don't like him anyway. They only support him because they want Obama gone.

I don't think he will lose either. I have spoken to many and the general consensus is that we just cannot afford 4 more years of Obamanomics.
Financially, we are in horrendous shape and at the end of the day, that's what this election is about.

I would have a hard time hearing my husband beat up day after day, and that goes for both sides. I believe in my heart that you have to really want it to endure the process. I listened to a few of his sons in an interview and a couple of them were not on board for him to do this. Alot of sacrifice for all the families involved.

No, he'll probably try again in 2016.

I'm just wondering how the stress will affect Ann, healthwise.

So if you do not win the grand prize and get to sit in the big chair..where you are supposed to serve the people- You retract your SERVICE..when you don't get what you want? Where is the spirit of the principle of service? He could always do something else politically to serve his nation...seems to be the trend with those who want to be President...it is about reaching the highest level of personal success...and not about service...where is the love?

Doubtful. The Republican nominee in 2016 will probably be either Jindal, Rubio, or Rand Paul.

If he loses this election I would suggest he needs to call it quits with the political world and just involve himself with his family, his church and his business dealings. Of course he may not be prepared to totally forgo his involvement in politics but then maybe he can just do so at a less stressful level.

I get the sense that Ann Romney is not fully on board with his presidential aspirations and I can't say I blame her - he just doesn't seem to have the personality for it and I think she is possibly finding the whole experience much rougher than anticipated - it's a brutal arena to enter and maybe this is just a step too far for Romney. He did well to get this far but I don't think he has the cajones to really weather the immense pressures of the office he seeks and I think Ann (who presumably knows him best) is aware of this.
