Ann Romney says her husband will not run again if this race doesn't turn out the way they hope. Romney told ABC's The View today that it was "a very hard thing" to put her family through another White House bid after he lost the 2008 Republican primary. She said she agreed because she feels her husband can bring economic prosperity to America, but they "absolutely" will not do it again if he loses.

Ann Romney: If Mitt Loses, No More Races - She says this would be her husband's last hurrah in politics

Whats that saying? Winners never quit....quitters never win?

Pack your bags, Queen Ann, I hear the Cayman Islands are just grand this time of year.

Did you see the morose faces at the concession speech? Well, after such a fight, that's to be expected. Mitt was holding off for as long as he could to concede, which was done diplomatically. When the gang finally came out, Ann's composure only held up for a little while.

It was really interesting to watch, though. It wasn't a "we're all so tired and I feel empathy for my husband" look. It was a "I don't get to be in the White House"/"I'm the runner-up at the beauty contest" look. This woman would have made the WORST First Lady this country has seen in decades. In fact, I'm sure that she would have had to keep her mouth shut AND stay out of view to avoid elitist gaffes. It would have been like having a blonde Mormon version of Leona Helmsley in the White House. I'm tellin' ya, I slept well after Romney conceded and Obama accepted. We've got one hell of a rocky road ahead, regardless, but I am so glad the Romneys aren't in the White House.

What's the deal with him NOT carrying Massachusetts? That's odd. Doesn't that state have both the health care system and same-sex marriage, and it still didn't vote Romney? Not living there, is there something we don't know? Mitt and Ann got handed defeat everywhere they had tentacles - in MA, in MI, and in WI, where Ryan is from. That's ok. She's got enough money to have a shrink at her side 24/7 after this mind-numbing humiliation.

Not quite, sir, it's a thread for those who view America as a DEMOCRACY, where the top of the bell-shaped curved is supposed to be the middle-middle class, and not a MONARCHY.

Wrong. it is an a-hole vent thread and your post is exhibit A. Everyone who ever knew or worked with Ann Romney says that she is a wonderful, warm, and charitable person. She doesn't even remotely deserve the completely uninformed, ugly, and immature rant you just vomited onto this message board.

Who is everyone? Fellow PTA ladies or fellow religious folks with whom she was working on the same causes?

There has been a lot of negative press about her. Many Americans DON'T like her. They don't feel she can relate to them. Ever heard the expression "Trust your gut?"

Furthermore, this isn't about disliking a Republican or a rich woman. While nonpartisan and willing to vote either party, but mostly aligned with the Dems, I think America thinks fairly highly of some Republican First Ladies: Betty Ford, who battled cancer (yeah, so did Ann) but also went public about her alcoholism, Barbara Bush, who was a dignified matriarch, and Laura Bush, who was basically a likable woman. That's more than I can say about Hillary Clinton, and the smarmy nature of that duo. There are even books about Hillary, such as "The Truth About Hillary" and "Hell to Pay," if I'm not mistaken.

So, this is about people, and NOT parties. In their own way, both Ann, and Hillary, SUCK.

I think you're wrong about Hillary. If she did we probably would have never heard of Monica Lewinsky.
