It appears Rove's influence over elections may finally be coming to an end:

Quote:
In a $6 billion campaign, Rove's ability to part wealthy Republicans from their money made the political operative - who co-founded the American Crossroads "Super PAC" - a force in the party's effort to take down Obama.

Democratic groups raised millions of dollars based on appeals that focused on the threat Rove and the Crossroads groups posed to Democrats.

As it turned out, Obama held the White House and in nine of the 10 Senate races where Rove's groups spent the most money, the Democratic candidate won.

On Wednesday, Republicans' discontent was evident.

Conservative activist Richard Viguerie said in a statement Wednesday that "in any logical universe," Rove "would never be hired to run or consult on a national campaign again and no one would give a dime to their ineffective Super PACs, such as American Crossroads."

In the end, Rove spent between $90 million and $160 million of other people's money on Mitt Romney. That investment did not pay off.

I was pleasantly surprised that Citizens United didn't have the effect on the election that I was afraid it would have, and more pleasantly surprised that none of Sheldon Adelson's bets paid off. Some casino magnate.

In Republican terms, Karl Rove is "a bad investment, where capital could be put to better use."

Adelson is a bad bet.

Rove is out of touch with the modern electorate. He needs to funkify!

Isn't it creepy how all the biggest players in the Republican party LOOK EXACTLY ALIKE?

Karl Rove ("Bush's Brain" and election night crybaby):

Sheldon Adelson (Worst GOP bettor ever. Lost about $75 million this election):

Rush Limbaugh (Official GOP Blowhard):

Dick Cheney (VP and all-round evil war profiteer):

Dick Armey (Creator of SuperPAC Freedomworks)

Roger Ailes (President of Fox News):

I was fortunate enough to have switched to Fox right at the beginning of his election night meltdown, and it was one of the highlights of the night for me. Imagine Megyn Kelly being the voice of reason! Talk about a surreal moment. Funnier still was watching Rove scrambling with a pen and paper, telling the techies, who were looking at actual electronic county by county data, that they had it wrong. He just couldn't believe that he didn't succeed in buying the election. LOL. BEST MOMENT EVER!

I've read that Rove has a lot of explaining to do to some very ticked off billionaires. Let's hope he becomes an anachronism in politics hereafter. He can't be gone too soon for me.

Rove is most definitely tarnished. Could not happen to a nicer guy. Maybe he can get his old job back as "Bush's Brain".
