Now I realise that betting laws are alot different in America but I was just wondering whether anyone managed to make some money on this race.

For instance Obama's odds went to as low as 8/13 at one point in July which was where I decided to invest big as I felt that Obama's odds as clear favourite were never going to get better than this before election day. I layed these odds off after the second debate and made a comfortable profit.

Also in September Romney was in a slump and his price at 9/2 was good to pick up for a lay as it was inevitable the race would at least tighten a little but during the run-in. And when it closed in to around 6/4 I decided to cash in those chips as well. All in all pretty easy investments to follow, especially if you are analysing closely the Presidential race and are aware of all the data.

I find the political market easy to read. I knew for instance that the Venezuelan election was never going to be as close as the media were frantically making it out to be and I also have a suspicion that Romney-mentum is something that the media are desperate to overplay. He is the big outsider in this race. However I've decided to back off from the race and let it go its course. I'm not going to take the risk.

Now only certain bookmakers allow you to bet and lay but I just wanted to query whether anyone else has had any success making investments in this particular field.

I had Bush over Gore and made about 90%.
Very close race and the current race appears to be a very close one too.
I've seen the chances of an Obama victory shown in two different forms or ratios on two websites. They are vastly different, and I'm not sure why they are.

If you want a sure winner take the Democrat in the Massachusetts Senate race.
Date of the election is Nov. 7th.
