Not according to Republican nominee for President, Mitt Romney...

"Our experience also demonstrates that getting every citizen insured doesn't have to break the bank. First, we established incentives for those who were uninsured to buy insurance. Using tax penalties, as we did, or tax credits, as others have proposed, encourages "free riders" to take responsibility for themselves rather than pass their medical costs on to others."
- Mitt Romney, July 30, 2009 (Op-ed, USA Today)

I guess, "free riders" were bound to hate it?

Mike,

The left doesn't understand true capitalism in the least. Hence you get comments like the one you quoted.

Assuming you don't confuse Fascism for Capitalism, how is this not true in capitalism:

"because they are only concerned with making one thing...money from you and I."

Is that fundamental to capitalism?

That isn't true.
The Affordable health care act was designed to make sure that the problem's of Insurance companies accepting people with pre conditions and keeping children on parent's policies and doing away with the cap on work created insurance was at a minimum and by getting millions of more premium payers it would stop the insurance companies not wanting obamacare. The Insurance companies have been saying how bad obamacare is going to be for everyone and have been allied with Doctors talking b/s about hoe premiums will rise dramatically. Now the Insurance companies realize that Obamacare might be repealed they have suddenly realized that they have shot themselves in the foot if it is overturned.
Doctors and Hospitals are only afraid that if Obamacare gets moving forward a UHC will be next. Doctors and Hospitals will still get the same payments from Insurance companies as before Obamacare. The Doctors also do not realize that they will have many extra patients with insurance so they can continue to rip off the insurance companies. As far as the pharmaceutical companies.... President Obama has made them now charge less for their drugs so the cost of prescriptions should come down.
If Romney repeals Obamacare...... Premiums will go sky high as the Insurance companies will now want the extra earnings they will lose by losing Obamacare.......... They are greedy and will see this money as a loss even though they had never earned it in the first place
The ONLY way to get a proper affordable health care system that is controlled by the health professionals is by implementing a Govt. funded health system as has been adopted everywhere else at a lower GDP than our health system here and NOT under the control of CEO's.

The health insurance companies absolutely did write the bill, all those things that they are now forced to cover is going to get subsidized by the government, while they get millions more new clients most of which are healthy, resulting in huge net gains in income for these companies.

I have worked for an insurance company and I have worked in healthcare. Do you want me to tell you which one is the least concerned about your health and only about making money?
