He says nothing about creating a theocracy. He is talking about electing a person who will defend religious freedom, not create a State Religion.

What Obama says in this video sounds more like theocracy than anything Ryan has ever said or suggested. He's clearly a religious fanatic, governing according to "God's commands", as he puts it. Where are the "you can't legislate morality" people when Obama says stuff like this?

Or are you trying to portray Ryan as believing that "Judeo-Christian values" and "Western civilization" are exactly the same thing? Tsk, tsk, that's not honest!
As your post perfectly illustrate the use of an "and" would have made a distinction between the two. Ryan didn't do that: "those values, those Judeo-Christian, Western civilization values."

It's fear-mongering. Why can't you admit it? Ryan is trying to scare evangelicals into voting for Romney because of this supposed threat by Obama to basic values. Given how most evangelicals have felt about Mormons, I understand why Ryan is doing this. But to call it anything but what it obviously is is disingenuous. So tsk, tsk yourself.

It's not fear mongering. It's truth telling. It just so happens that sometimes the truth is scary.

Uh huh. How convenient that the truth just happens to reify your beliefs.

Americans of many faiths have responded to the recent threats on their first freedom with prayer. Below is a Catholic prayer for religious freedom:

Oh, come on. This isn't complicated. Many values can be identified as belonging to both the Judeo-Christian tradition and Western civilization. There is considerable overlap. You're being totally disingenuous.

Obama is a positive, living threat to Judeo-Christian values and Western civilization. He's proven that time and again. Saying so is truth-mongering, not fear-mongering.

Brillant. Anyone that works as hard as Obama to turn the American people against each other does not follow Judeo-Christian values or any other values.

The founding of democracy had nothing to do with Judeo-Christian values. Any overlap has been strategically appropriated by those who want to make Judeo-Christian values the only pathway to democracy.

Fear-mongering. Plain and simple.

What you are doing here tonight anyway? The night before the election I would think that the Christian taliban would be locked in a prayer circle together. Or did I miss the executive order where Obama outlawed that?
