Happy because I'll still be getting that government welfare check that you conservatives keep mentioning in every post.

Actually it makes more sense to raise taxes and cut spending to reduce the debt which would be the sensible thing to do.

Hypothetical, what would you cut to eliminate the debt?

All great civilizations did eventually fail. The leaders lost the ability to lead.

I'd cut welfare and most federal speding across the board in order to grow the economy just like Clinton did.. You guys act like that is a foreign idea..

There isnt enough wealth that you can tax to wipe away the deficits let alone the debt.

The federal government has DOUBLED over the last 10 years. Do you really see twice the services or twice the benefits because I sure in the hell dont. Poverty record levels, welfare record levels, jobs falling, growth stagnate.. The more you take out of the economy, the worse it will become. Its basic math.

Default Republicans are to blame

I will look back at the last 20 years and understand that Republicans either created the record deficit from a surplus or worsened the debt by their obstructionist policies.

It is also important to note that Republicans only care about the deficit when a Democrat is in the White House. In other words, when Bush was running up the deficit, Pubs were silent. Just shameful and pathetic.

You guys should be so proud.. $12T projected debt added in only 8 years.. Wow.. Lets go for more!!!
They could care less and if they do, they hope to see it explode so the wealthy will be bright down. This is why I'm expatriating.

The Dems controlled the House and Senate when the financial crisis started and then all 3 levers of Govt after Obama was elected and they have successfully pinned the entire blame on Bush in the minds of most people (then ones easily manipulated by the Left Media)

yes, yes, yes, Democrats hold the White House, and the Senate, and held the House through the complete economic collapse, holds congress about 75% of the time, havent passed a budget in 4 years, but in 20 years, you'll still be just as ignorant to blame Republicans, even though the GOP would rather cut off all spending and starve people to death.

I'll feel angry that the Republicans controlled the economy via fascism, and rather than inject the money relatively fairly around the country, they used it to implement social engineering, and then spent decades on decades pretending that they were free marketers while they were stealing from all of us fools whom believed that liberty and justice for all slop.

They won't be whining, they'll be putting up charts and graphs that show how Obama spent less than any other politician on the planet in any time in history and that counting actual dollars doesn't really matter.

See, it didn't even take years to get to that point, they're already continuing to push the same BS.

The Democratic-controlled Congress back then spent, on average, 2.8% more than Reagan asked for and 24.5% over 8 years.

Also, every balanced budget Reagan presented to Congress was declared DOA by (Democrat) Tip O'Neill.
