I voted for Dubya twice, and you must have amnesia. Let's talk about lying to the American people about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and then sending our kids to war there. Using fear to run a country and push an agenda is about as divisive as it gets. I'd been involved with the R party my entire adult life, but those years during the Bush administration, especially during his second term, are when I realized that there were deep, ugly problems in the party, and it's become a million times worse since then. What I found astonishing is that everyone said that no president has been re elected with the economy this bad. And yet Obama was re elected when everyone thought he would lose. It doesn't matter what the margin was Romney should have been a shoe in.
Yes, he should have been. We've also seen unprecedented one-sided thrashing and non-vetting by the MSM, greatly contributing to the brainwashing of America.

FDR was elected twice more when the economy was much worse, and one last time because we were in the middle of a war. Reagan was elected again after his first term produced the deepest recession since the 30's. In fact, it was the second worst of the 20th century.
The fact is: Voters tend to stick to the incumbent in times of stress. Whether the voters like him or not seems to be not nearly as important as the incumbent predictability; they know the guy, good or bad, and they don't know the other guy.
President Obama said similar words when he was elected the first time, as did President Bush before him and President Clinton before Bush. And, do you know what? They all mean it, even if it turns out otherwise at the end. They do serve one nation, like it or not. And in that nation, there are always going to be about half who think they've been let down.

Yes. Obama is making it very clear that he has nothing but utter contempt for the taxpaying half of this nation. In fact he's made it very clear that his biggest interests are those who are living here illegally -- he's got nothing but all great things planned for them.
