Alter: Who Is the Real Rudy Giuliani? - Newsweek Between the Lines - MSNBC.com (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21161962/site/newsweek/ - broken link)

Personally as a New yorker I liked him as mayor for the most part but as a gun owner I hated him. I'll only vote for him if it's either him or ANY democRAT!

I won't vote for anyone that I feel is the lesser of two evils. I haven't voted for a democrat or republican in any presidential election, this may be my first if Ron Paul gets the nod.

It won't hurt him at all in the primaries. In the national election, it might impact him a little.

His main man Bernard Kerik about to be charged with a few counts of obstruction of justice, bribery and fraud can't help him all that much either.

His campaign message of "9/11, 9/11, 9/11" won't go very far once he gets out of the primaries. All his other baggage will catch up to him.

What are you talking about, it is because of Rudy that the conservative right has entertained the idea of running a third party candidate. I think that will impact the primaries quite a bit.

God help the GOP if he gets the nomination. I'm sure Bush is praying for a GOP loss. He and Clinton are good ol' boys.

The Alter article shows him being tough in a way that should appeal more to the conservative base. Within the context of the Republican Party, I read nothing in that article which indicates something which should hurt him with his current supporter base, or others who may consider him as their candidates drop out of the race.

Rudolph Guiliani is an extremely nasty cheesy little man who was a failure at being the mayor until he lucked (sadly) upon September 11th, 2001.
