I think the electoral college is a bad protocol. Minority Presidents are a dumb idea.

But I did not suggest revolution when Bush won with a minority of the popular vote.

We set it up that way and have to live with it until we are willing to change it.

As far as I can tell we are not.

But it is good in 2008 and 2012?

Hmnn... do I detect H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-S-Y?
No, we just like all the votes to be counted. They WERE NOT in 2000.

Come on son, it's 2012. I mean, I realize conservatives (if they're lucky) are still trapped in 2004. Try catching up, a lot has happened since then.

Yes they were -

and you other liberals were declaring an Obama victory 15 minutes after the polls closed here on the west coast - so don't feed me your bull about "counting all the votes".

Yes a lot of bad things over the last four years for this country. Hate to see the next four.

Obama's first term was NOT a failure. Although, I would have preferred he insist Bush tax cuts expire for the top earners, he not allow the payroll tax cut, and ACA should be single-payer. The first two were unaffordable, and ACA is improperly designed at this point.

Other than that, he saved this country from the abyss.

And, in case anyone, yet again, raises that old canard about what a big spender he is, that isn't true, either.

Obama spending binge never happened - MarketWatch

If the GOP hadn't brought this country to the brink to the point 8 million lost their jobs, most of whom are still unemployed or working for MUCH less, there would have been enough tax revenues to keep the debt under control.

I hope the GOP disappears into oblivion.

I also hope Obama has the SPINE to do it right this time, damn the political fallout.

Pres Obama needs a patsy. W Bush was the patsy for the first term, but Obama is already setting the table such that John Boehner will be the patsy for the second term.

U.S. Supreme Court Stops the Recounts - Los Angeles Times

Look we know Willard had been blown out early in the evening. If it's not close you can call an election early which is what happened. 2000 was razor thin close. Man, seriously you might need counseling.
