I always thought it was somewhat unlawful for congresspeople to sign any such 'pledge'.
Their allegience should be to the Constitution and the American people only.
Obviously it's not unlawful ... just stupid.
If some p-iss ant like Norquist showed up asking me to sign some dopey pledge, I'd probably throw him out of my office on his head.
That's why my political career will never go any further than posting on internet message boards, by the way.
