How are things different now? The economy is still in the crapper. We are still involved in never ending wars in the Middle East. Out of control spending in Congress hasn't been curbed. Your mistake was in thinking that there were only 2 people running for President when you said there was no alternative.

He gave free medical care to poor blacks - not there's a true 'racist' for you.

What is bad about it?
Paul agrees with the 'abolitionists' and says that slavery was an important issue. His gripe is with the centralized government, especially the banking system. He is also obviously anti-war. He says that many other countries got rid of slavery by simply paying for their freedom, thus avoiding the bloodshed of war.

Maybe he was educating his audience, like standing in front of a Rush Limbaugh photo.

Yep. Slavery, see what happens when you compromise and forget about what the country was founded on. From day one the "one percent" had their mitts on our freedoms.

Except Ron Paul is essentially the mordern day version of Heinrich Brüning with his Austrian ideology.

Nope.
Brüning took money out of the hands of the private sector by increasing taxes. Complete opposite of what Ron Paul stands for. Strange that you missed something as glaring as that. hmmm

Ron Paul has always said government should never be involved in the role of society. Ron Paul also is not in favor of controlling the economy. No one can successfully manage the economy, he knows that. It's a shame others do not, even after centuries of proof that it cannot be managed by a central policy. We the people make the market, not a king and his court who force their price and wage controls on private industry.
He wants plans by the many and not by the few.

In all the honesty, Ron Paul would get votes from GOP, independent and Dem, he would have chance to win. For instance my vote, a typical independent's vote.

A libertarian might get votes from all parties, but won't get enough to ever win. You put Gary Johnson or whatever nutjob you guys support in 4 years, and watch him/her get crushed.

Or you can keep voting for the same horrible policies that ruined the economy and makes us less safe. Your way we have have seen the evidence first hand, we the people are getting crushed. The nutjobs are the ones who think doing the same thing will yield different results. It's time those nutjobs woke up.
