She's an ambitious lady. And a very smart one. She didn't have good political instincts when she and Bill started out, but she's acquired those instincts, and she's got the connections.

When she was elected as Senator from New York, she told the public she wasn't interested in the Presidency. Because she couldn't get elected as Senator from New York if she was going to leave that office to campaign for President.

And right now she can't say she's going to run for President because 1) it's too soon, we've just gotten through an election cycle; 2) because Biden wants to run and this early in the game you don't want to alienate any possible supporters/DONORS; 3) because the speculation is free marketing that helps to keep people excited and enthused; 4) because she's had a very busy four years and needs a moment to gather her bearings and sit down with Chelsea and Bill and formulate a plan; 5) because a lot can happen in the next four years, and it's not smart to commit to a campaign message this early; 6) because it's flattering to be courted, and all the buzz about Hillary 2016 is her being courted.

No one could ever say she isn't smart, that's for sure..and you are right, she can't announce now or she would be a goner, as my mother in law used to say. I would look for her to to seriously make a run in about 2 years if she is going to do it. She is ambitious, but whether she wants it bad enough still remains to be seen. I have very little doubt, she wouldn't get the nomination if she does decide to run. A lot might depend on Bill, his health and other things.. yes, it is flattering to be courted and get the attention..That is one reason some Republicans didn't announce their intentions this past election til later: Huckabee and Sarah for instance. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying I supported either of them, but they did play it cool for a long time. Whether either seriously considered a run we will never know.
