The more I hear Republicans talk like this clown in Maine, the more I'm happy with my decision to re-elect Obama.
I am white, educated, middle-aged, competent, responsible tax payer and I voted for Obama. I voted against the extreme right and the corrupt motives of some of Romney's top doners.

At the bottom of this article it was reported he appologised and has dropped the issue., ala " nevermind folks".

This reminds me the report from somone, somewhere in Ohio that claimed bus loads of Somolian prirates voted.

I think a LOT of voters share your reasons for voting the way they did.

The extreme right-wing crazy element and the dark money with god only knows what strings attached were enough in themselves to send voters fleeing in their thousands.

And that's before the flip-flopping and the refusal to disclose tax returns and the 47% comments........the list goes on and on and on.................

and there is no racist element of the Democrat party, is that what you are saying? Think about those just on this forum that bring up race all the time, they are certainly not from the right, are they?

Astounding. You can't make this stuff up. No one would believe you. Blacks by the HUNDREDS in small towns voting in Maine? They really think that anyone with half a brain is gonna buy that? Really? SMH..
Again, I will ask, but it seems the left doesn't want to comment: what Ass kicking? How many Governors are now Republicans? did the house go Democrat which normally happens with a Pres election? Do you think it might have made a difference in what happened in the senate race if it wasn't for a couple of big mouths? One of them was asked by the Republican party to step down. Have you paid any attention to some of the state elections? I know of two that are now Republican for the first time ever and in both cases they have a lot of state reps that beat incumbant Democrats. Now tell us again we took a beating!!!!!! and explain where we took the beating. Tell us how many more voted for Obama than voted for him in 2008 and tell us the overall popular vote victory compared to 2008.

Is there anything the GOP doesn't blame on a minority group?

again, let me say, this was one person's take on the election, not the take of all in the party; talk about blaming, it seems to me, it is the left that blames Romney's loss on the old rich white males....

It's just another of these race-baiting, hate-mongering threads with a misleading title by the usual suspects who like to stir things up. As usual, pulled from cherry-picked stories to try and generalize to a whole group or groups the thread-starter has a problem with (in this case, the GOP and white people.) Then those like-minded with the thread-starter come in and you have a circle-jerk session of feigned anger.

If anything, this is a Maine issue, not national one.
