You ever hear of Nixon's Southern Strategy, which Reagan expanded on? The GOP is merely reaping what it sowed 30-50 years ago.

You RWNJ's need to get over it. seriously. Enough already.
Amen. I'm not a fan of the job Obama has done so far, but he will be the POTUS until 1/20/2017. Of course, I hope he has an incredibly successful second term, as to wish otherwise, would be cutting off ones' nose to spite ones' face.

Once the election is over, the time for reviewing the differences between candidates and platforms is over. There are too many important tasks at hand.

The allegience many have in both parties to party first is a slap in the face to the millions who have died to defend this nation. Parties are artificial separations of various subsets of America, but as of the end of election night, until the next campaign begins in earnest, they serve NO oseful function.

I'm not impressed.

Look, no matter what the cause is, some people will be extremists. And some people are just mentally ill, and connect things in ways that a mentally normal person wouldn't. You can't look at bizarre cases like that, and extrapolate them to the cause in general. The average republican isn't even stocking up on bullets, much less joining a militia or committing suicide.

I refer to those types as "Hit and Run" posters.

There was a suicide attributed to W's reelection, as someone has pointed out.

A Democratic politician from my area also committed suicide about a week after that election; I'm not aware whether the election was the main cause of that or not.

I believe you are referring to the violence of the protests over the Viet Nam war. That was a half-century ago, tex. Lots of things have changed profoundly since then.
