They didn't outright say that blacks are dumb for voting for OBama. What I was stating was that they were calling blacks insane, practically morons or idiots for voting for Obama. My post was very specific when I started this thread. If a conservative talk show host on Fox were to literally call anyone dumb for voting for Obama, that would have caused a national outrage.

I have been saying this before, and yet, very few people have any responses or solutions for this. Conservatives thinking of Black people as "dumb" for voting for President Obama, that is only going to alienate Black voters from voting Republican. In fact, I've said it before. Republicans have basically alienated minority voters. If Republicans truly care about this, they would come up with a better strategy to draw in minority voters, Black, Hispanic, Asian,Pacific Islander, etc.

Quote from Newt Gingrich: “I want African American people to demand paychecks, not food stamps,”
Quote from Rick Santorum: ”I don’t want to make black people’s lives better by giving them somebody else’s money,”

These are quotes that are basically patronizing towards Blacks. Most Blacks are not on welfare. Most Blacks work.

i wonder where people get this mentally that all of us blacks are sitting around on welfare when are not the majority on welfare...not to mention while these republicans are quoted as saying they do not want to give us any handouts...i have been Black all my life...never gotten a voucher for education (my loans speak for themselves), i have never gotten or been on welfare, never received food stamps, and i darn sure don't get any handouts for a darn thing...what kills me the most is how our government has no problem taking our taxes and spending it on someone else's country to rebuild their homes, cities, giving them aid, and making sure they receive food and shelter....but yet how dare black people receive someone else's money...it never ends

I am not "a dumb Black American" for voting for Obama...the bottom line is the Republican party doesn't cater to me what so ever...not just because I am Black, but I am a woman, I am apart of the 47% that Mitt Romney doesn't care about...here is an even bigger point...the Republicans do realize that even if Obama had 100% of the Black vote he still couldn't win the election...he wins thanks to the White majority who have more voting power than any ethnic group...that is the reality...

No president has ever solved these so called "Black problems" and never will and I as a Black person have never looked at any President to do anything for me as a Black woman...

Anyone who voted for the corrupt obama is dumb, color has nothing to do with it. obama is, and will continue to, destroy this country. Dems may have won the election, but it will cost us all the country.

Both great and very true statements, they don't believe blacks should be held down by giving them free stuff so they remain dependent forever.

But most Blacks aren't demanding welfare or foodstamps. Only a minority of Blacks on food stamps. These statements were basically insulting the intelligence of alot of people.

Looking back at the cherry picked sound bites prior to the Obama win...it was obvious that blacks that were stupid were intentionally picked out to be interviewed...This tactic back fired on the Republicans. Folks who are smarter...saw this as an insult...not just to the dumb who are not aware of it but to the smart who see it as an insult of the highest manipulative value...sure there are a lot of un-educated dumb blacks...and yes there are just as many dumb red neck whites...but this is a non issue in general - Obama for the second time was elected through emotion and not logic...emotion- man kinds greatest weakness.

Then I need you to think about this. What do you think the Republican Party should do in order to prevent further alienating minority voters? If Republicans really want more Blacks to vote for them, what do you think they should do? Looking through this election, I have seen alot that has alienated minority voters from Republicans.

Just conservatives? How about any people who are gigantic bigots like the ones concurring with the elitist racism that inspired this thread?
