I love the Hillbuzz boys. When they came to their senses in 2008, they did so in a BIG way.

[ If you remember, the 2008 Obama victory party was held in Grant Park, where the Obama cult declared him to be a living god-king who would lower the oceans, patch the whole ozone, and deliver hope and change and unicorns to everyone. Nothing so grandiose and extravagant is being planned for November 6th, 2012...for good reason ]

Seems logical to me.

Sounds reasonable and very plausable too.
Especially knowing how Obama likes to grand stand everything.

Looks like someone missed the point of the article.

It's about 0bama downsizing the location. Romney has nothing to do with it as he's not yet given his first acceptance speech.

Well, rioting and Chicago go hand-in-hand. So I am not reading anything into Obama selecting McCormick Place (wh/ I know well, having attended industry-related events there for several decades). I personally think it was a wise choice in re: to crowd control, regardless of whether a victory speech or a concession speech is the order of the evening.

I think the author of the article made some very astute observations but I am thinking security concerns were the motivating decision - moreso than expectation of a concession speech.

As much as I would like this to be what you and the author say it is, this indicates nothing. It does show something rare for the Obama camp though, planning for contingencies.

When was the last riot in Chicago? 1968? That was before most of us were born, you know.
