I'd say the leaders of the GOP are their governors and senators.

Yup. While there are still plenty of traditional fiscal conservatives, they don't have a Rove to rally their troops.
Rove isn't an evangelical Christian like his old boss George W. is, but he knows how to play them like a fiddle. And as long as they continue to go all-in for the Republican party, Rove and guys like him are going to keep them whipped up to a froth for as long as they possibly can.

And Rove is no political philosopher. He will go anywhere and do anything as along as that's where the money is, for as long as he can. He may be on the canvas right now, but he hasn't been counted out yet, and until he is, he will stagger back on his feet to go another round as long as the money is good enough. There are no winners or losers in his game; it's all just in the moment whether good or bad for him.

hmm... not sure about this one. He will always be a player but he really damaged his brand with that TV rant. There are suckers born every minute though who are willing to bet, donate, invest in a chance to get rich through political back scratching so yeah... we will see.

Romney was a vacuum.

Who ever imagined this guy could win while sucking up every wacko's talking point and vacilating from one extreme to another should consider themselves delusional.
