Lightbulb Who you want to see run for GOP presidential in 2016?

The Pubs just haven't awakened to the harsh reality that only a small wedge of the American people support their twisted "social conservatism" and trickle-down economic policies.

For the next election, they should continue to double down and nominate extremists who will go down to a crushing defeat, taking their house majority with them.

The perfect pair.

It may be the wake-up call that would bring the GOP back to rationality.

Or not.

Really? Is that why they control the house, have 30 governorships and if hadn't been for a couple of true nut cases could have captured the senate??

That is why they were clobbered for the presidency, and lost seats in both the senate and the house. And you may have noticed that those house and senate losses centered around the true nut cases. To date the GOP "base" seems to be more energized towards puttting up more, not fewer, of these nut cases.

Good luck with that approach.

Next year's election cycle should be fun.

Normally the party that wins the pres in recent years, also carry both houses. Did that happen this time? Nope, and you haven't addressed the governorships. yes, next year will tell us a lot....

Condoleeza Rice
Jon Huntsman
Chris Christie

No Gimmicks.
No Extremist.

Open any intelligent candidates who may pop up. Anyone who's not a Fox News creation. I'm a social conservative, just want to see someone can get their point across without looking like a dumb ass.

"Social conservatives" (not the ones who mind their own business, but the ones hellbent on making laws based on their interpretation of what their long-bearded sky-friend said) are bigots by definition, so there is no possible way to put that point across without looking like a dumb ass. Every passing year, as the country becomes more and more socially tolerant, the magnitude of the dumbassitude of the bigots/social cons will become more and more glaring.
