I can't imagine Romney would want to run again. He discovered how impossible it is to run as a "severe conservative" in the primaries and then race to the middle during the general election.
This inadvertently sums up why Romney won't run. Right wingers tend to be motivated by doing what's best for the country, while many, although certainly not all, on the left are motivated by satisfying of cheap emotional urges. Face it it is true.
Emotional appeal is not just found in one party. Look at Sarah Palin and you see the same emotional appeal at work in the right wingers.
Face it- it's not true. It never has been true.
