I'd like to revisit this thread about Republicans putting too many of their eggs in the Hillary basket, now in light of the current Obama surge. Have Republicans counted too much on Hillary Clinton getting the Democrat nomination so they are ill-equipped to run against Obama?

Can anybody explain to me just why Hillary Clinton is disliked, even hated, so?

I was of the opinion that she couldn't have won simply because she's so hated - but I never entirely understood the reason she was so disliked by so many...

On the news today, I heard a lot of Republicans were voting for Obama. Also, he's getting a lot of younger people who don't normally vote. Obama could be tough for the GOP because they don't have anyone like him running.

Obama is such a powerful speaker, he'll easily sway anyone who isn't very knowledgeable on the issues -- which includes most voters. Look how GWB won last time. "Who would you most like to have a beer with?"
