I still think he would have won pretty easily but I guess we will never know. I just hope the Republicans have learned something from 2012 and the senate races. Open mouth, insert foot doesn't win elections. There is a time when honesty does not pay. There is a time to keep your mouth shut!!!

There was nothing to indicate Akin would have won easily without the comment. He constantly polled the worst head to head against Mccaskill and everything after the nomination before he made his comments indicated it was going to be tight. Akin was always a hard right blowhard it was just a matter of time before he something stupid and boy did he.
