What looked like a 17% lead for McAuliffe is now a statistical tie. Here are the numbers:

45% McAuliffe
41% Cuccinelli
9% Sarvis (Libertarian)

The question at this point is who comprises the 9%? We know that this 9% won't hold on election day. So IMO, the winner of this election comes down to the composition of the 9% and who leaves the 9.

Also, a Roanoke College poll in the same article has McAuliffe up 15% over Cuccinelli; however, they have McAuliffe with 46% of the vote, similar to the Quinnipiac, but have more undecideds and thus, less share for Cuccinellli.
If you believe that, then Rove will sell you a bridge.

Regardless, we aren't going to find that out since the VA GOP decided to nominate a loon.
I don't doubt it at all. Sorry, but that election wouldn't have been close. Like I said, Dems would've stayed home like in 2009. An election between McAuliffe and Bolling would've been a 20 pointer for Bolling.

McAuliffe has spent most of his life in banking and as a venture capitalist, like Mitt Romney. His Federal City National Bank donated $125,000 to Richard Gephard's campaign while McAuliffe sat on the board, and also loaned money to Tony Coelho and Jim Wright. Wright was forced to resign from the House amid scandal concerning an aide's assault on Pamella Small, and also charges of ethics violations.

In the 1980's McAuliffe was entangled in the financial collapse of lawyer Richard Swan, who was in charge of fund raising for Jimmy Carter. McAuliffe used his political contacts to help Swan.

McAuliffe made millions off his investment in Global Crossing, when he sold his holdings just before they filed for bankruptcy the same month. Investors lost over $54 Billion, and 10,000 employees lost their jobs.

Currently, his Green Tech Automotive is under investigation by the SEC.

I guess you could ask, "What's not to like about McAuliffe?" He's your typical lying, cheating, Washington insider Democrat who always seems to be involved in scandal.

Is this the kind of man women like?
Cuccinelli has his own problems with the same companies tied to Gov. McDonnell. Regardless this isn't as much about women liking McAuliffe as it is about women nit liking the hardline social conservative Cuccinelli

I don't see that 20 point margin and Dems staying home thing like 09 simply because McAuliffe being a much better candidate than Deeds, especially in NOVA. Not saying McAuliffe is strong either, just better than Deeds. With that being said we are in agreement Boiling is a much stronger candidate and better fit for the state than Cuccinelli.

NoVa''s Democrat turnout was so bad in 2009 that McDonnell won Fairfax County

Deed's was a BRUTAL fit for NOVA, McAuliffe is a good fit for NOVA. Neither one has much appeal outside of their regions, but McAullife's appeal is where people actually live, Deeds's not so much. That is why I think McAuliffe would have done better than Deeds's even against Boiling. Boiling wasn't going to win Fairfax against McAuliffe, Deeds's is probably the only Dem that could lose Fairfax

Women do not want a politician, like Cuccinelli, dictating what they can do with their bodies. And women are really tired of men trying to rule them. And they are both the bottom of the barrel. How sad for Va. But at least McAuliffe won't go after women's rights.

Nor does McAuliffe want to outlaw sexual practices between consenting adults. Nor does he run with a crowd that thinks every miscarriage should be reported within 24 hrs to the police. Nor is his potential Lt. Gov a lunatic.

There are a lot of laws that dictate what you can do with your body. It's a fundamental liberal hypocrisy.
