Rand Paul is far smarter than Obama, who seems to be dumb as a rock.

Obviously you have no clue what it takes to be a world leader, if you think Obama's got what it takes. Just look at the mess he has made of the Middle East! He has screwed everything up. Who's in charge now? The Muslim Brotherhood, parent of al-Qaeda and Hamas! Terrorists! And he has not only supported terrorists in the Middle East, and given countries over to them, he has them in OUR White House, working within his administration!!! Terrorists! The man is a traitor!
Let's face it: some people see only what they want: most people who think with their heads know, Obama is anything but a world leader. He is doing everything he can to help our country loose our place as a world leader. I would think, even those who like him, for whatever reason could see, a leader he is not.

Are you kidding me? How about having Florida in the bag?

That just shows you have no clue what it takes to be a world leader is. Obama certainly is. GW Bush was certainly not.

,
what has Obama done to make him a world leader? That is probably his weakest link, his ability to make a positive impression on foreign leaders.

Rand P. only attracts the fringe demographics? Is that why the young college age voters are starting to pay so much attention to him and what he has to say. Wishing something is the way you would like it, is very different from having it that way!!!!

@The OP: Right now, it appears that Jeb Bush might have a decent/good shot at winning the 2016 GOP nomination if he runs.

He might but I have to hope like Hell he doesn't run. I don't want another Bush thank you. I happen to like him better than any Bush, but we do not need dynasties. We are America, not England, or any other country.

Yes--he is on the short list of Republican candidates that Sheldon Adelson is auditioning for 2016 GOP candidate.

And this, in a nutshell, represents everything that is wrong with politics in the US.

President Obama has been an exceptional world leader, so I don't know what the hell you're talking about or how you define that concept. Start another thread, since this is off-topic.

All of the usual suspects, Paul, Bush, Ryan, Christie, Rubio, Jindal, would be a significant step BACKWARDS. A Republican cannot take this country forward after the high standard that has been set by the great President Obama.

Oh, he has certainly been exceptional — exceptionally stupid! He is not respected by other 'world leaders,' but is distrusted, and he has become a laughing stock. Never before in our history, has America been represented by such a clown, a man pretending to be noble, and thinking himself wise, but only able to speak in chlichés, adding to these, half truths, lies and collectivist claptrap.

Totally laughable! What "high standard?" If you are going to make such a statement, you had better be prepared to back it up with some evidence. Perhaps his golf score is the "high standard" to which you refer? The amount of money he has spent on vacations, or his wasteful spending on worthless government subsidies to failing "green" energy companies owned by donors to his campaign? Those "high standards?"

All those you mention above are far more intelligent, and articulate than Mr. Obama, who's only major life experience was as a "community organizer" (an agitator), mediocre lecturer (he taught three courses: "Current Issues in Racism and the Law," "Voting Rights and the Democratic Process," and "Equal Protection and Substantive Due Process"), and political hack (usually voting "present" as a U.S. Senator).

Obama has never held a job in the private sector, so far as we know, and he knows nothing about business and economics. All those you mention have had experience outside of government and politics. They understand business, and what it takes to be successful. They understand how jobs are created. Any one of them would be a major step in returning us to a path to prosperity instead of ruin.

and dumb know nothing about politics Hollywood crowd influences who the Dems choose. This works both ways, I hope you realize that, but I am not sure you do!!!! And don't think these policies only relate to America, most civilized countries that honestly hold open elections work pretty much the same way.

well if you say so, I guess we are expected to believe it is true, even though the majority of Americans think otherwise. Oh, I know, you are smarter than the rest of the country, right?

Your man-love for Obama has been observed many times here.

It just seems odd for you to view him as exceptional when world leaders view Obama as weak and confused on foreign policy.
