Default Not a chance in hell

This fluff wouldn't even be able to win his hapless party's nomination.

His IDEOLOGY beats him no matter who he is running against on the Dem side.

so what happened in 2010? If you had been around long enough you would know, today's trends could be totally different in a year or 2 years. What you are saying is still based on no facts, just your opinion. Which is fine, as long as you can admit it. It is when people get opinions and facts mixed up we see disappointment by some.

I like Rubio much better than the other Senatorial GOP contenders because he's actually tried to do something legislatively.

The electoral college does not affect House races, but POTUS is decided by that college.

The EC gives the Dems POTUS with near certainty unless the GOP starts appealing to a few of the 19 states blue since 1988, who provide the Dems with an overwhleming edge, and when you add now blue VA and NM, Dems start at GOP 3 yard line. 1st and 10.

I agree with you on statement 1, but not NM and VA. NM has elected 2 Republican governors out of the last 3. They have never been a Red state and they only have 5 elector votes. As for VA, they are still a fringe or swing state. They can be blue today, Red tomorrow or visa versa.

Of course Rubio could pull off a win. The Dems have never won 3 consecutive Presidential elections other than FDR winning 3 consecutive elections.

My only question is whether or not the USA has changed demographically so much that the Repubs will have to change its strategy to a racial strategy as the Dems have done successfully....I suspect they will. So they will have to outpromise benefits to Hispanics beyond what the Dems do.

Obama was elected because whites wanted to put the first black president in place because they either wanted to prove they were not racist or were afraid of being called racist if they voted against him. Plus both mccain and romney were plain toast boring canidates that conservatives didnt want as thier president. To vote for the better of two evils is a bad vote choice to make.
