Islam per se was geopolitical.
What
is geopolitical - and a threat to the United States far more dire than whether or not Crimeans live in Russia or Ukraine - is Islamic radicalism, fostered either actively or by neglect by states (ie, by the state governmental structures) such as Pakistan and Yemen and Saudi Arabia, among others. And since those are sovereign states engaged to varying degrees with the other nations of the word, including the United States, the Islamic radicalism being nurtured in those states is indeed a geopolitical issue.
Also, absent your convenient "I refuse to read any more!" petulance, you'd have noted a discussion about China, which you can't conveniently - even by your silly logic - dismiss as a non-geopolitical issue.
Feel free to get a clue. If you can manage that modest feat (a big 'if'), share it with Romney.
