The Florida 13th District House race has been a Soap Opera all year ..... it just got better.

Turns out that the Democrats couldn't get Alex Sink to run again in the Fall after she lost the Special Election to the almost unknown David Jolly - so they backed a former Republican, who has not been a registered Democrat long enough according to Florida Law, so he is running as an Independent. To back this guy (Ed Jany), they had to force the NAACP Chapter President to drop out of the race. That must have been a trick in itself, and you have to wonder why in the world they chose to do that.

Now the new Dem/Indy fair haired boy has dropped out and the Florida (and National) Democrats are left holding the bag. Oddly enough :roll eyes: , the NAACP President (Manuel Sykes) they dumped on declines to run and is laughing his head off.

The Most Botched House Race of 2014

Looks like Mr Sykes took great exception to the Washington & Florida Dems calling him "persona non-grata" and he doesn't really trust them anymore. Mr Sykes is a popular Black Minister, as well as being the local NAACP Chapter President.

Well now ..... here is why Ed Janey decided to drop out of the race

The sudden and surprise announcement comes days after a Tampa Bay Times report about him seemingly padding his educational background and resume.

Jany entered the race at the last minute — after Democrats more or less threatened a prominent African-American minister to keep him out of the contest. In a statement Jany said he has realized he does not have the time to run for office:

Perhaps none of them wanted to spend the next 6 months defending Obamacare.

Do two news articles constitution a "conspiracy theory" to you?
That's an interesting definition you have there.

Your post is not representative of the articles though, you completely reworded one of the statements form the reverend.

Thats why I asked you if you lived in the District and no more than the articles led on ?

There's nothing that can be done with a dropout.
There was a Montana race for Senator back in 2002 where the Republican candidate was doing pretty good in an uphill fight against Max Baucus until someone dug up an old video of him cutting a guy's hair back in the 80's.

Both the guys looked very fashionable for the overdone 80's, but both looked kinda gay to most Montanans by 2002. The candidate was so homophobic he dropped out of the race a couple of weeks before election day, leaving the GOP with no candidate. Strange stuff happens.
